Este restaurante deve estar na rota de quem ama comida cabo verdiana! Visitei o espaço no horário de jantar e havia imensos lugares, contudo está sempre ao barrote. Tudo é simples. Aqui a pérola vem da cozinha. A cachupa estava divinal! Já a muamba não adorei. Para rematar tudo isto o grogue deu uma ajuda e as sugestões do staff também! Tudo isto foi acompanhado de uma playlist de músicas típicas que obrigam a baloiçar nem que seja a cabeça!
Com dúvidas de início, logo se dissiparam. Espaço modesto mas comida excelente e servida em razoável quantidade. O cozinheiro, um verdadeiro senhor, cumprimentou cada um dos clientes. Bom atendimento. Recomendado.

One of the vast Cape Verdean restaurants in town. The place isn't trendy like most restaurants in the area, but the food is delicious, portions are big and the service friendly. A cheap and good option in an expensive part of town.
O tambarina é, para mim, o melhor cabo-verdiano da cidade. Os pasteis de atum são ótimos. Para prato principal aconselho a cachupa e a moamba. Excelente relação qualidade-preço.

I had never heard of Cape Verde much less eaten the cuisine, but the place smelled so good when we opened the door it was a no brainer. The young man who explained the menu offered to order for us based on a few questions of taste and what we got was really, really, good ... and cheap.
I have no idea what the names were but I got several big chunks of stewed beef and what looked and tasted like potatoes, only they were not potatoes, all in a curry gravy that did not taste like curry, but was delicious. It came with a big plate of white rice to put it on and as The Donald would say: "it was HUGE". My wife got a plate with many tiny knuckles of what could have been beef or pork with meat that you had to eat around the bone to get at, coming with a side salad, rice and french fries. What meat we could get to was also very good, but that was not all that much. We also had a half liter of water and a liter of the house tinto (red), all for the grand total of less than ... wait ... €22 ... that is correct, just €22 ... HOOAH!
The restaurant is not much to look at, but it and the kitchen were both sparkling clean, and the service was excellent. I expected the bill to come to just under €40 because there were both half and full portions listed on the menu, assuming these were full portions, but they must have been halves. Even though we would probably order something other than the "bones" next time, it was a very tasty meal at a terrific price.

Comida muito boa, preços muito acessiveis, musica ao vivo.
Atendimento não é muito bom mas é um sitio que recomendo para quem gosta de gostos e ritmos cabo verdianos.
Recentemente foi dia de ir ao Tambarina.
Localização até acessível e um espaço acolhedor, tipico de Cabo Verde.
A destacar a música ao vivo, o artista era super bem-disposto e cantava sempre com o seu jeito gingão e um sorriso no rosto. O ambiente estava montado.
Para jantar foram pedidos para entrada os pastéis (de peixe) que na verdade eram médio/fracos em termos de qualidade.
O prato principal foi cachupa especial (1 dose dá para encher 3/4 pratos) apesar de não parecer e estava bastante boa.
Para bebidas foram pedidas a cerveja kriola e o sumo tamarindo, a dobrar, dado o molho picante que se fez acompanhar da comida!
Não tinham sobremesas.
O preço é baixo para o local em termos de pratos e alto em termos de bebidas.
Aconselho a experimentarem uma vez.
Amazing food! Cachupa especial and Mandioca with beef is just delicious. Homemade chilly sauce is the best you can find in town! Plus Authentic music from Cabo Verde. Its a small place with great prices sooo local atmosphere! Definitely Recommend if you are into local african cuisine :)
Local com uma aparência modesta, empregados simpáticos e atenciosos e comida maravilhosa. Vale a pena experimentar a cachupa especial - de comer e chorar por mais. Tem bebidas enlatadas típicas de cabo verde e preços justos.
