I am really not one to go out of my way to review things online but you give credit where credit is due and Frade dos Mares, wow. I enjoy good food and I love eating out but I have never been to a restaurant where every individual dish was exceptional, from appetisers, to entreés through to dessert. Every single one was 10/10! What a pleasure to dine here and on such a special day as my birthday.
Never have I had octopus so tender (grilled to perfection), and my friend doesn't even favour mussels but he absolutely loved yours! Your fish soup was an explosion of flavours as soon as it hit my tastebuds and the seabass in filo pastry was what I imagine you would feed to the gods. You even did red meat well, that duck was stunning. It's a shame I don't remember the wine we had but it complimented everything beautifully. Possibly one of the best meal I have ever had. I can't recommend this place highly enough. If any of my friends go to Lisbon and doesn't visit this restaurant, I will probably disown them.

Great cuisine and service. From the moment you get inside, you can feel really special. I really recommend the excellent Polvo a lagareiro! And remember to ring the bell if you want to enter;) I've never seen anything like this before but it makes the place even more special!
Excellent food, best we have had in Portugal. Service by Bruno great. Attention to gluten free requirements. Venison wonderful. Highly recommended. Thank you.
