Recommended by our holiday cottage owner up at Est d Calheta - we made a point of having lunch here on our final day (today 10 Nov) on Madeira.
So glad we did. Friendly staff, locals - the whole shebang! Food was spot on too! I went for the scabbard (espada) while Sue had calamari. Both plates never stood a chance �

There are other places to eat in Jardim do Mar, but Joe's Bar is the best! The best food, the best servers, the best atmosphere in the beautiful outdoor garden, the best of everything. If you are there in the morning, enjoy some of the best coffee on the island with the locals.
