We visited on May 31st for dinner. The restaurant looks very inviting; it makes you feel very welcome when you enter. It's elegant but still casual. Menus are hung on the side of the benches which I like. It offers a lot of snacks, burgers, and meat dishes. To me, they are casual and comfort food which I love. We ordered a beed dish, a specialty burger and two glasses of wine. The lady who served us was very polite and professional. Owner Mark later came in and greeted every customer, making sure everything went well. That's a great touch; made us want to come back again already. Food was amazing. I was hungry so I ordered the meat dish with fries and rice. It did not disappoint. It tasted delicious and it was filling. It felt like a wonderful home cooked meal plus great presentation. Another table ordered house beer and I saw this state of the art beer machine which filled the beer from the bottom of the glass. I myself have never seen it and I was amazed by it. Owner Mark showed us the special glass and explained the system to us. Now I just want to order the beer just to see it again. It's a great addition for the restaurant. Finally, I am not a big dessert person but again after Mark showed us the display of dessert they had, I went for the berry cheesecake. It was really good. To sum up, this is a wonderful restaurant on the island of Santa Maria. It shows from the quality of food and service. It's a great place to eat with very friendly service. I will be back very soon. Highly recommended.

Hoje fui, finalmente, ao Café Snack Bar A Travessa. Adorei! Adorei mesmo antes de ir! Um espaço maravilhoso com comida deliciosa! É como se fizéssemos uma pequenina viagem enquanto lá estamos.
