A Comercial - Cervejaria Da Cidade

Today we decided to spend our last night on Sao Miguel in our favourite restaurant. We’ve been coming here multipel times this week, everytime as amazing as the first time we walked in and enjoyed the beautiful cuisine. The main thing I like is that nothing is overdone. We ordered the prawns in garlic as a starter. The subtle infusion of garlic was a nice way to upgrade the dish. Normally there’s so much garlic inside you lose the lovely flavour of the schrimps. At A Comercial they understand the shrimp is the main flavour. As a main I had the sirloin steak in mustard sauce and my partner ordered the same, only in pepper sauce. Two perfectly prepared steaks were brought to the table. It was a meal worthy of our last night. Above all, the service is the best on the Island. Anybody who’s been to Sao Miguel can tell you the people working in the restaurant business are the nicest. A comercial brings this Azores’ hospitality to snotter level. The staff makes you feel welcome, remembers you and makes time for you, which is extremely special in such a busy industry. Although we haven’t been here for more then a week it’s feels like we’re friends, or at least locale who come more often. Even of you were looking for just drinks you’d been missing out not going here. Apart from the truly amazing and creative cocktails of Adilia which are worth your while, this restaurant understands the true experience of going out. In general, such a treat to have been here!
