We are staying at the hotel with our 12 year old son and whilst he's a bit of a foodie we didn't think he would fully appreciate the experience. However the front of house staff made a real fuss of him and the head chefs came out to see him and promised him some surprises during the meal. We had the chefs recommended menu which was perfect, we all particularly enjoyed the guinea fowl main course, and the amuse bouche of lobster ravioli with orange and smoked duck, delicious! The recommended white wine was from central Portugal and a perfect complimented to the food. We certainly had an experience and whilst it's not something we would do every day, we will have lovely memories for a long time. Thank you to all in this fabulous restaurant.
My wife and I actually booked our holiday to Madeira, based on going to this restaurant. Having sampled 1* restaurants before, this was our first 2* Michelin meal...and it was amazing! Stunning food and flavour combinations, great staff service and a lovely view overlooking the sea. We shall return, that's a guarantee!!
We were there yesterday and we had a delicious menu in four courses. We enjoyed this evening and it was a good time and the highlight of our holidays on Madeira. I think one of the best restaurants i have ever visit. Thank you. Best regards.

My wife Anna and I regularly holiday at the superb Cliff Bay. The restaurant is a highlight of our stay. The flavour combinations of the food and the incredibly caring service are exceptional. The views across the Atlantic on a starry night adding to the romance.
Our first experience was our honeymoon and oh what an experience of culinary delights.

Only had breakfast here every day, but the food was excellent. The best French Toast I have had and the omelettes were great too!

Excellent service. The food deserves another Michelin star. Why? Because it was experimental in the best possible way. There was genius in combining things that I would not have thought of, but really work. The tastebuds are still tingling, but my brain is still astounded.
Guter und angenehmer Service mit einem traumhaften Blick aufs Meer. Qualitativ sehr gute Produkte und eine feine Auswahl an delikaten Arrangements. Auch die angebotenen Weine entsprechen einer überdurchschnittlichen Qualität. Letztendlich ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis.
