We first noticed this lovely new restaurant / rosticceria when driving passed and called in for a meal that night. We received the warmest of welcomes from the owners Elia & Alfredo & waitress Mardi. We have now visited several times and it feels like we have known them for years. They do treat their customers like friends and nothing is too much trouble. There is a variety of delicious food from the hot buffet - each dish is explained by Elia - and an excellent choice of specials made fresh when ordering. Alfredo who is the chef is Italian and along with Elias mum produces the most flavoursome food. They also offer fresh pasta dishes too and pizzas made to order. The Couvert is varied from the usual restaurant offerings and never disappoints. You can choose your own accompaniments to your meal choice such as salad, vegetables, rice etc. The wine is very good quality at a reasonable price. The sweets (if you have room) are home made and delicious. They also do takeaways.
We came across this wonderful place by pure chance when we were asking directions desperately trying to find the medical centre for our sick baby. Elia the owner and our angel offered to drive us without hesitation. That night my husband brought home a takeaway dinner from Martinellis and it was amazing. It was fresh and tasty and not like your typical takeaway meal. A few days later we went for dinner and it was without doubt the best meal ive had in years. Everything about this place is fabulous. It is a family run business and from the moment you step foot inside you are treated like one of their own. If you go to Vilamoura, this is a must visit.

Se pensa que em Vilamoura, bom, bonito e barato é impossível, aqui está a prova do contrário. Excelente comida italiana e tradicional portuguesa, servida com grande dose de simpatia. No final da refeição, vai querer abraçar o staff.
