Pena não puder ir ao Bardo mais vezes, porque é simplesmente único, boa Comida, hidromel maravilhoso, e staff muito simpático e prestável. Querem um ambiente único com História aconselho vivamente a conhecerem o Bardo.

Bar bastante diferente dos outros, decoração medieval, todo em madeira, com bebidas também um pouco diferentes do habitual. Ambiente super descontraído.

13th Friday dinner...

Bardo Taverna Medieval is a locus that makes traveling back in time possible. It reconstitutes historical old times when kings and feudal lords disputed among themselves kingdoms, castles, knights ‘n vassals, fief and peasants. It makes one relish the joys of days long gone, days when there were serfs handling all the preparations of and serving meals, and the ewerers bringing pitchers of water, large bowls and towels between courses. These pleasures include appetizing food and good meads inspite of the absence of troubadours, trouveres and minstrels... nonetheless, it never fails to give the feels of how things were during the age of templários nights.

The interior is almost entirely made of wood: massive wooden walls like horizontal palisades, series of planks and wooden benches. It doesn’t stop there - the dining tables’ centerpieces are no other than flickering candles. The dishes (all of them: plates, saucers, and mugs) are made of earthenware. The food was also served in crockery and we enjoyed the following medieval-inspired fare:

*Brown loaf (happily not manchets)
Was served, luckily not to be used as a trencher. At the moment it reached my mouth it felt as if maiden fairies from the land of valleys must have churned the butter ever so delicately to perfect the taste of this sweet, earthy, robust loaf. It’s one the most pleasant and satisfying accompaniments of the dish, with a nutty taste in every bite.

*Tachinho do Lavrador - one of the specialties of the tavern, stewed meat seasoned with secret ingredients, and is served with açorda(breadcrumbs seasoned with olive oil and garlic. Delish! a dish that hath borne hundred grokes.The slices of meat were tender as a damsel’s touch, and was resplendent of herbs and spices.

*Mouro assado & Escudela enchidos - as middle ages diet contained a much higher proportion of protein, an invention mothered by need came up with artisan charcuterie. There was no sumptuous meal at which bacons,hams,sausages, and black puddings were not served in profusion on the table.

*Camarão ao alhinho - the shrimps are immersed in garlic, olive oil and salsa over heat giving the most enticing aroma. Soaking up slices of bread with the sauce was the perfect compliment, so tasty!

Then washed it all down with:
*mead (hidromel celta)-believed to be the world's oldest alcoholic libation, refreshingly sweet with a combination of all the creativity and flavor diversity of great ale and all the complexity and good taste of a not- corky wine.

*cider - also refreshing and sweet, it sort of taste like a combination of apple juice mixed with pinot blanc.

*gin tonic - this classic drink is a balanced crisp and refreshing, never boozy or heavy.

The splendid setting of this venue provides more than just good food – it offers a memorable experience to share with family, friends or colleagues and even allows history lovers to travel back to the Medieval Period. Thanks to Ms. Sara for the warm welcome, attentive and friendly service especially at that night when freezing outside. And this one of life's simplest pleasures ,dining outside -it’s awesome and truly enjoyable with Zomato gold’s FOC meal treat.

Finalmente um espaço diferente em setubal!!! Na minha opinião foi uma ideia muito bem pensada pelos proprietários do estabelecimento. Não existe nenhum espaço igual em setubal.
Servem refeições e fazem jantares de grupo.
Têm o típico hidromel que não podia faltar!
A decoração esta espetacular e faz juz ao tipo de estabelecimento.
