Ok people. If you are in this neighborhood, walk over. If not, take a taxi and treat yourself. We came for a short three day trip to Lisbon and spent one of the days in Sintra. Our first meal was here, and then every other meal of our trip was at Bistro Gato Pardo (2 lunches and 3 dinners). We have traveled all over the world and the US and we love food. This place is amazing! First the staff. Werner is the chef at the helm of Bistro Gato Pardo. Everyday he has a different printed menu. The warm servers, Carolina and Mario, translated everything for us into English and helped us to find the perfect dishes. Even the chef came out to make sure we were ordering what we'd enjoy most. They treat everyone in the small restaurant like family. And the food is so special and fresh. We loved the sangria, wine, salads, soup, appetizers, entrees and desserts. For a big meal for three with some wine or sangria, we only spent around 50-60 Euro which we felt was very reasonable for this level of quality and deliciousness. We felt like we had our own private chef and restaurant and would so love to come back to Lisbon one day, stay in the same neighborhood and eat at this precious jewel of Lisbon!
Awesome food, friendly staff, cozy place. Can recommend to anyone who wants to eat local food and get away from the tourists. :)
Ein sehr schöner Abend mit wirklich leckerem Essen (besonders die Maiscreme kam bei meiner Tochter extrem gut an!) und genialer Sangria. Besonderen Dank für die tolle Beratung und den netten Service! Jederzeit gerne wieder...
