We were really lucky to find this place thanks to the other glowing reviews from Trip Advisor users!
We were in Lagoa to attend the "Mercado de Culturas à Luz das Velas" and booked at Tapas no Bucho as we thought the town might be busy.
From the initial communications (English/Portuguese), to when we arrived they were professional & efficient.
The four of us had booked an outside table and soon both inside & outside began to fill up. The waiter came to take our order and after recommending a superb Cabrita Wines - Quinta da Vinha Rose we started to look at the menu.... The decisions were soon taken from our hands as the waiter suggested that he bring varied dishes of his selection to our table.... From local cheeses, cured meats to freshly caught sardines, each of the eight different dishes was amazing.
Both the waiter and waitress serving us were so friendly & helpful and made this meal one of my most memorable meals.
I don’t hesitate in giving this place a 5* review and have already passed the details on to our friends who are visiting the area soon.
My sister and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at this kind and heartfelt establishment. It was raining and we were visiting the beautiful Praia de Marinha when it began to pour. We looked for highly rated Tapas and this place did not disappoint. Their prices, their delicious food and wine, their hospitality, their willingness to chat with us for hours ended up making this one of our favorite stops on our visit to Algarve. I highly recommend that you work this place into your drive through this beautiful region. Thank you so much for a fantastic time. Obrigado!
Excellent restau de tapas,on est servi à table dans une rue piétonne très charmante,le personnel est très sympathique et l'accueil chaleureux.
La carte est très bonne,à déguster sans modération,je le recommande vivement!De plus le personnel parle français et anglais,ce qui peut aider pour commander les plats!
What a treat to find in Lagoa. Everything about this works - the food is out of this world, the service is personal, warm and family oriented, the décor and concept, the music. Can't wait to come back!
Family run and food was amazing. There was 10 of us so the waitress picked everything for us.. it was amazing. My favourite was melt cheese with walnut and honey... well done and keep up the good work.. it’s a must if your in the area
Acceuil parfait, tapas délicieuses, attention particulière pour notre petite fille et notre jeune ado. La patronne parle français et est aux petits soins. Nous avons passé une très bonne soirée. Merci.
Very nice atmosphere, very tasty food, very good drinks and more than perfect service! Extremely good price-performance-ratio. A visit is highly recommended - it’s absolutely worth it!
I was lucky enough to stumble upon this gem of a restaurant while on a recent visit to the Algarve. Would highly recommend enjoying a meal here with the very friendly staff. Having been able to visit many different areas of the Algarve during the trip their food was some of the best and fairest priced. Lagoa is also a nice alternative to explore compared to some of the more crowded tourist areas. 5/5
