This is a lovely restaurant with such attentive staff. We walked along the harbour looking for somewhere to have a lovely meal and celebrate a good friends birthday. We chose this place as it was very clean and welcoming. We sat down and was served with drinks almost immediately by staff that were clearly happy in their jobs. The staff took our food orders and we enjoyed the ambience of the place and the beautiful surroundings. The meals arrived and 3 of us had scabbard fish 2 with passion fruit and one with banana whilst our birthday boy had tuna. The meals were delicious and I would go as far as to say the best meal I have had in a restaurant. We then were coaxed into a pudding.... No we opted for pudding and I'd was delicious. To our surprise the staff bought us out a complimentary glass of champagne for Gary's birthday that was such a lovely touch. We later asked for the bill and was given a complimentary banana liqueur. As if that wasn't enough the bill was so reasonable too. Thanks to all the staff at this restaurant I hope that this review will help bring more custom to you.

We had two wonderful dinners at New Era while in Madeira. We had such great service- Thank you Vladimir! and amazing food! Go you will not be sorry!

Super restaurace! Má všechno, co mnohdy chybí rádoby luxusním restauracim u nás... doporucuju typicky jídlo mecouna s bananem, moc dobrý! :)

Eat there twice during the week's stay at Calheta. Fantastic food, in a group of 4 and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Great service Great value, went there twice even though we were all inclusive.
